If you had that saved by any chance, that'd be cool. Lime: That link you posted in your thread on the other site for rewiring the power swtich is dead.

#MOTHERBOARDS TO FIT POWER MAC G5 CASE FULL#
Those are some preliminary thoughts without having actually seen the inners of a G5 enclosure. but most of them, changed outlook of the case My goals for this Project were to preserve the look of the case at outside and fit my PC s hardware including a full ATX MB. The power cord can reach inside the case otherwise I'd have to cut things since the power outlet hole is right in the middle. In 2020, I picked up this old man on Ricardo (Switzerland’s version of eBay) for 100 CHF (100 USD). Back in the mid-2000s, a shiny new anodised aluminium G5 would cost you a minimum of 2,000.
#MOTHERBOARDS TO FIT POWER MAC G5 CASE UPGRADE#
This probably means that I'd have to leave the Mac I/O ports empty and out of use but that's fine (fill them with gray putty or something. Here’s how I gave an Apple Power Mac G5 a 15-year upgrade by transforming it into an ATX gaming PC. My plan is a little ghetto but this is what I've thought up: Instead of cutting up the back or modding it in any way, I'd simply use adapters or extensions to access the I/O board connectors on the motherboard and place those in the expansion slots using slot plates I can get from the store (hopefully). The only real problem is that I haven't yet seen the inside of a G5 so I wouldn't know what to expect (other than from photos like yours). I'd rather take the opposite approach and let the case shape the way I place the parts inside not shape the case myself to let the parts fit. So im trying to put my new 3080 into my new Z690a motherboard but it wont fit in the top PCI slot for some reason.

So given my littlle experience I'm trying to avoid "modding", so to speak, the case at all costs. In fact the unit was fully working, but compared to todays standards it was kind of slow, so with a little heartburn I took it down to the metal to start the work. By accident I got a hold of complete G5 late 2005 on ebay for a bargain. I've never modded a case before in my life and so if I pull through with this it'd be a first. Last weekend I finished up on my second conversion of a Power Mac G5 Case to accept a mATX motherboard. Well, one thing's for sure I'm not a modder.
